I’m not sure who the other guy is. If you know, write in and tell me, just don’t approach him.
I started my videography business in 2005 around the same time I started a business with a friend selling musical equipment and recording bands. Sadly the business wasn’t for me and I decided to concentrate on my career making videos.
I still work with my first ever client! We make comedy music videos, 5 of which were videos for UK top 20 singles chart campaigns. We even made a crowd-funded full-length feature film which you can watch here (not for the easily offended). It is through working with this client that I sharpened my videography skills for use with others.
As everything we did relied on just us, no outside parties or funding, I had to learn all aspects of film making including camera work, sound recording (I was a recording engineer well before I picked up a video camera), lighting, green screening, prop making, directing, acting, editing, you name it.
My years of experience allowed me to apply the aforementioned skills to whatever I now choose, whether it’s a music video, a promo for a business, a piece of drama or comedy, and as a one-stop-shop for videography I am able to offer quality videography without the huge price tags this sort of work can command. I firmly believe that good quality videography should be within the reach of all, as it is still to this day the most powerful medium for getting a message across.
I am a keen follower of comedy, music, film, technology (love a gadget, which is great as the work I do requires LOADS of ‘em!), the beautiful British countryside and am a committed tortoise keeper. In fact, much like my purple chum on the left, don’t approach him if you see him, he bites.
